Feedback From A Microskills Instructor

Here is what a former Microskills instructor told me:

I was an instructor at MicroSkills up until a few months ago.  Many of us in the instructor pool saw the handwriting on the wall when Charlie Kesenger became the school director upon the second departure of Bart (Richmond).(not his real name)

When I left, they were down to 2 full time instructors and advertising on Craigslist for trainers as often as they advertised on TV for students.  The lab was manned top to bottom by former students (many who were still working on their certifications) who had no IT experience beyond MicroSkills.

This instructor felt that the blame for the school could be laid at the feet of several people, for several reasons. At this stage I can't name them but if anyone else, especially former staff, has anything to offer as to why the school failed then please contact us.

And this came from two prominent Career Development Advisors at Microskills.

To all Microskills Students,

Just to clarify, we want you to know that this was just as much of a shock to us as it was to you.  Unfortunately, we are all left without jobs and without severance.  We were all given half an hour notice to get everything out and were told not to return to Microskills, as we were no longer employed by them.

To all of our students, please understand that we knew nothing about this.  The advice and help we offered to you was sincere and truthful, as the idea of Microskills closing their doors was unfathomable.

We as former employees have no information, and no one would answer our questions concerning the schools closure. We were also directed to speak with outside representatives.  We are just as confused, devastated and angry as you are.

Please remember to contact the BPPVE as soon as possible.
